Pinhole Photography

Pinhole photography is the oldest form of photography.  Pinhole involves using a dark box, which has a really tiny hole. You also need to load a film into the camera. When you remove the tape from the tiny hole, it exposes the light and burns an image onto a photosensitive paper.  The next step is to take your negative picture and place it in a chemical solution for the picture to develop. This is one of my favourite moments as it is really exciting because you never know how the image will turn out before it develops in the chemical solution. 

I love Pinhole photography, it's prettier and cooler than using other cameras or your phone. There isn’t any technology involved; it’s just basic materials, which help create something beautiful. Pinhole photography makes you appreciate photography more because of the process involved in creating an image, you need to use your hands and it gets you thinking. The process is really fun. 

I really love photography; it’s an escape world for me. I feel I can express my feelings through art when I don’t want to talk about my feelings. It energises and empowers me.  I find photography intriguing.  You are always learning with photography, every exposure and every film is different. 

Everyone’s definition of art can be different. Art can be explored in so many ways.  I feel art is just a part of me, from the clothes that you wear to the jewellery that you choose, to your hairstyles, that is all art.
